Rafting in the Alpes
Rafting is great fun for all, from as young as 7 years old, children have fun and discover the fantastic scenery. However many of the runs are fairly challenging so this is good centre for anyone looking for more active runs.
The Upper Guisane
There are plenty of oppotunities to run the upper section of the Guisane, normally starting at Monetier. This is an ideal first-time run and is particularly good for mini rafts and "le hot dogging". You can also do tubing and hydo-speeding.
The Lower Guisane
French rafters describe this run as "raft sportive" - this is a technical fast, exciting descent. Its a pretty intense experience which requires a lot of moneuvring. A brilliant river for rafting, pure exhilaration; perfect for more experienced rafters.
Trips are available all summer from may through to September. Dependant on water levels and your experirence its also possible to book mini raft and hydro-speed trips.
Romanche River
The Romanche River has been commercially rafted on a regular basis for the last few years. This is a fast a furious challenge - a more intense and powerful trip than anything else in the the area.
