Alpe D'Huez has been one of the most famous stages of the Tour de France for 25 years. The 21 bends that lead up to the resort are often the crucial stage for many of the cyclists.
The region is the ideal summer Alps destination for walking and mountain biking, or just relaxing and enjoying the superb mountain scenery.
