Hi. We’re Nick and Ivan, two friends with a passion for boarding and skiing, who have two chalets we run as Chilled Mountain.

The chalets, new last season, are a high standard with 5 bedrooms, next door to each other in the resort of Alpe D’Huez/Oz en Oisans, literally 50 metres from the ski lift (You can be at 3350m on the glacier in 30mins from leaving the chalet!)

We are a caring, family owned and run company wanting people with initiative and flair to offer our guests a home from home holiday experience.

The Alpe D’Huez ski area is vast. There will be two of you running the chalet so you'll have more time than with most other operators to ski/board until your heart is content. See www.chilledmountain.com for more info on our company.

The job

We would like to hire two people to work together:

Either a couple or two friends, who can help us make the ski chalet experience relaxed, fun and memorable. You don't need to be a qualified chef although some catering experience is essential for the chalet cook job, as well as a genuine flair for cooking and a love of food.

One of our chalet’s is catered, the other self-catered (except for the occasional week). Between you, you will be in charge in running our catered chalet and change-over of our self catered chalet.

Your skills

We are looking for down to earth people, passionate about ski-ing (or boarding!) that enjoy meeting new people and take pride in delivering a good quality service. Previous experience in a ski resort is highly desired as is catering experience for the chef/cook role.

The position starts at the beginning of December and runs until the end of April.

The chalets are within 50 metres of lifts taking guests straight up to Alpe d'Huez. Ski school, creche facilities and a number of bars and restaurants are all within less than 100 metres from the chalets.

Chilled Mountain's chalet facilities are targeted at families or groups of friends aged 30+. The chalets are generally let for sole occupancy by one group, last year we had a really good set of clients (even the odd famous one) who made our team part of the holiday and all had a lot of fun. Our aim is to provide a relaxed environment with everything that our guests need for a ski holiday within easy reach.
